CHECKPOINTS & DWI SATURATION PATROLS: Several have been announced for 3/13/15 – 3/14/15 and March 2015.

All winter long it’s been cold outside and the Police have been overworked dealing with looting, protests, crime spikes, etc… they’ve barely had enough time to write traffic tickets, lol!

But it’s warming up outside – and somebody has to pay for ALL THAT POLICE OVERTIME from last Fall and over the winter! Who better to raise funds from than the drunk drivers? Nobody really feels sorry for the drunk drivers, it’d be hard to sympathize with high fines for DWI Defendants.

So believe that Checkpoints are out there, designate a driver when you are planning to drink.  It’s not worth the risk to others on the roads, to yourself, to your criminal record, or your future.

DWI CHECKPOINT Announcements for Tonight 3/13/15 & March 2015 (posted 3/13/15 Noon):

**St John’s PD 3/13/15 – 3/14/15: will have DWI Checkpoint in undisclosed location, St John’s usually has Checkpoints near the intersection of St. Charles Rock Rd & Brown Rd.

**St Louis City PD 3/13/15 – 3/14/15: will have DWI Checkpoint in undisclosed location, St Louis city usually has Checkpoints near these intersections: 1) Kingshighway & Arsenal; 2) Jefferson & Chouteau; 3) Gravois & Taft; 4) Forest Park Ave & S Spring.

**Rolla (MSHP Troop I) March 2015:  will have special enforcement patrols for “hazardous moving violations” which are defined by MSHP as driving while intoxicated, lane violations, following too closely, high speed, improper passing, etc.

**Boone County (MSHP Troop F) March 2015: will have DWI sobriety checkpoints and DWI Saturation Patrols.

**Webster County (MSHP Troop D) March 2015: will have DWI sobriety checkpoints.

**Lee’s Summit (MSHP Troop A) March 2015: will have DWI Checkpoints.

**Buchanan County & Nodaway County (MSHP Troop H) March 2015: will have DWI sobriety checkpoints in Buchanan Co and DWI Saturation Patrols in Nodaway Co.

**Poplar Bluff (MSHP Troop E) March 2015: will have DWI sobriety checkpoints and DWI Saturation Patrols.

**Willow Springs (MSHP Troop G) March 2015: will have DWI sobriety checkpoints.
